SEO Overview

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) consists of many aspects. Many consider SEO to be the optimisation / placement of specific keywords and phrases in particular locations on your website. Some simply consider it to be the identification of such keywords and phrases. Whilst this is a part of SEO, it is only a small part. It is a proven fact that more than 60% of what is important for SEO is based on factors outside the website itself. To people not experienced in SEO, that might sound a little outrageous, but it's true none the less. More than half of our clients we have put Top 5 on the Search Engines from nothing, without laying a hand on their website content. This is a fact. If you feel you have a well optimised site for your keywords, but are still sitting in the trenches of Google. It'll be the off site factors that are letting you down.

SEO, in 2008 is about so much more than the traditional optimisation techniques. 3 Years ago you could get a high position on Google / Yahoo by simply inserting a few words to your title tag, meta tags, heading tags etc. This is no longer the case. As we say above, SEO is more about factors outside or "off" the site itself (offsite). Factors such as the type of sites linking to you, how they link to you and how often they link to you are big factors in determining your search position, to name a few. There are hundreds of factors (they we know about). This is where Secapio come in.
